Spending Time Away from Ouro

Spending Time Away from Ouro

I just got back from a 10 day trip to El Salvador. During this time, my laptop didn't open once. I was able to disconnect from the internet and just live in the moment. While it feels good to be back, I have to say that while I was there, I didn't miss it.

I spent my days surfing, reading, meeting people, exploring, eating good food with friends - just living.

I knew that the years of work I've put into Ouro would continue to exist even if I wasn't actively working on it in those moments.

It's a beautiful thing. For once, I didn't feel like I was falling behind or having to worry about what I was missing. I had realized my dream of being able to live a life of freedom and independence from the institutions that keep us trapped.

In practical terms, I knew that even if I wasn't actively working on Ouro, new users would continue to find and join the platform. That creators would continue to create and share their work. That the platform would continue to grow and thrive without me.

I knew that the work I've put into discoverability and SEO would continue to pay off. I knew that the assets myself and other users have created would continue to be useful and accessible to others. I knew that the products I'd shared would continue to earn for me while I was away.

This was the dream that I started Ouro with.

It's the dream I hope others will experience with Ouro.
