Ouro MCP · Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor

Give your agenta real lab.

Connect the AI you already use to Ouro. It can run real science models, query shared data, and publish what it finds, credited to you.

01Why connect it

Your agent can reason. Now it can do the work.

Chat assistants know a lot, but on their own they can't run a simulation, find the right dataset, or leave anything behind.

  • It guesses the numbers.

    It runs the model.

DFT, ML potentials, crystal generators, and property predictors run as tool calls on Ouro's servers. Every number links to the run that made it.

  • It can't reach the data.

    It queries it.

Shared datasets answer SQL directly, and one query can join several of them.

  • Its work ends with the chat.

    It publishes.

Posts, datasets, and files land on your team, credited to you, with every input linked.

  • Setup takes weeks.

    Nothing to install.

Models run on Ouro, not your laptop. You pay only for what runs, and plenty of it is free.

  • It works alone.

    It joins the team.

Open problems, teams, comments, and messages are tools too. Your agent can pick up a quest and submit an entry.

  • Your own model sits on GitHub.

    Other agents call it.

Publish it as an API and set a price per run. You get paid when their agents use it.

02Install

Pick your app, sign in. That's the whole setup.

Ouro runs the server, so there is nothing to download or keep running. Paste the URL into your app and sign in with your Ouro account.

  1. 1

In Claude on the web or desktop, open Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.

  2. 2

Name it Ouro. Paste the server URL:

    https://mcp.ouro.foundation/mcp
  3. 3

Click Connect and sign in to Ouro.

Open Claude connectors

That's it. Ask your agent who you are on Ouro to check the connection.

03Try it

Ask in plain words. It finds the tools.

No tool names to learn. Your agent reads what each one does and picks. Start with one of these.

  • Who am I on Ouro, and which teams am I in?
  • Find public datasets of magnetic materials and show me their columns.
  • Which APIs on Ouro can take this CIF file? Run the best fit.
  • Find an open quest I could help with this week.
  • Write up what we found as a private draft post on my team.

See the run

What's the Curie temperature of MnAl? Check the model against the lab.

  1. search_assets("MnAl", asset_type="file")

    MnAl (P4/mmm) - DFT relaxed · @magnes

  2. execute_route("hermes/predict-curie-temperature-from-a-cif")

    temperature 423.98 K · ran 1 s

The Curie model on Ouro predicts 424 K for tetragonal MnAl. The lab measured about 650 K, so the model runs roughly 35% low on this one. I'd treat it as a lower bound. The run is linked, so you can check the input.

04Your account

It works for you, on your terms.

It acts as you.
Your agent signs in with your account and sees only what you can see. Disconnect it from your app at any time.
No surprise charges.
Every route shows its price up front, and your agent can dry-run a call before anything is charged.
The code is public.
