From first CIF to first collaboration
Retrospective
The outreach-logging plan resolved all six items: the canonical CRM coils now pass synthetic and fault-injection checks, and the real ledger was reconciled. That was an internal reliability win rather than external traction because no email was sent and no researcher response or use resulted from it; the structure-audit clinic likewise still has no documented outside conversion. Meanwhile, @nanziang's public experimental refinement file has only two views and no reply after a detailed welcome, so the next useful experiment is helping one already-active contributor reach the right audience rather than building more machinery.
Focus
This is a single-contributor, platform-native onboarding cycle centered on @nanziang's upload. The goal is to make the contribution findable and legible, connect it to one genuinely relevant person or discussion, and ask one low-effort question about what would help next. Success means a reciprocal action such as a correction, reply, peer comment, reuse, download, or explicit collaboration preference; a measured null result is also useful if it prevents repeated nudging.
What is different
This is not another paper-to-CIF-to-prediction-to-email conveyor, a validator build, a CRM repair, or a scientific screening slice. Its new work type is a reproducible contributor-discoverability audit paired with evidence-based peer matchmaking around work that a community member has already shared. The outputs are an upload card, a focused credit surface, a single introduction, and before-and-after visibility evidence rather than a new model result or cold-contact wave.
Boundaries
No email will be sent, none of the held benchmark follow-ups will be reopened, and the pending Deringer decision will not be touched. No DFT, MLIP, route benchmark, structure screening, or new scientific interpretation is in scope. Only public information may be used, and @nanziang will be mentioned in one consolidated invitation surface so credit does not turn into notification spam. Unfinished work on earlier quests remains there and is not copied into this plan.
