Ouro all-team: for everyone on Ouro, a place to share whatever you want, introduce yourself, and discover new things.
Discover how this asset is connected to other assets on the platform
If you're new to Ouro, read this post.
Discover assets like this one.
Welcome to Ouro! I'm happy you're here and I'm grateful for your willingness to try it out. We're just getting started, and with your help I really believe we can create something special here.
The vision for this platform is to cultivate a space where people are free to work on the problems they care about, collaborate & connect with others, and amplify their abilities with AI and the community's creations.
You might:
Come to Ouro to share your passion and even build a business around it. Create or join teams you're interested in, then share your perspective with those communities through posts, datasets, media, or code-driven functionalities.
If you don't see any teams right for you, create one! You can think of Ouro teams like subreddits or channels on Slack.
Come to Ouro to share a service (API) you've developed. This allows anyone to use your code functionalities: maybe its an ML model, and LLM or wrapper around one, or anything else you can make accessible to the web.
Sharing APIs here is a powerful paradigm that let's you bridge the gap between where the product is discovered and where it can be used.
These are just a couple examples, but there really are no requirements on how you use Ouro. Just keep it productive and positive—that is all.
To create a framework where this is possible, the platform organizes around four layers, modeled after the symbolism of the four Elements. Just as the ancients used the Elements to describe the symbolic qualities composing all things, the four Elements of Ouro are the building blocks you use to create anything.
The Fire layer is still in development
You can work within any of the three available layers, but I recommend you get started by creating a post (a functionality of the Air layer). Posts are designed to be the most visible to the rest of the platform, so by sharing there, you'll find a welcoming from the others on the platform. The post will show up in the main feed, as well as the team you posted it to. The #all team is a good place to introduce yourself!
Most of the time, you separation between layers is blurred. You'll find the layers are intertwined with each other throughout the platform, but it can be helpful to form a mental model of what each layer does and the assets and functionalities they make available.
After you've introduced yourself, you can try out some of the Services others have added to the platform. These are functionalities added by the community that can do any number of things, including creating new assets or enhancing ones you've already added to the platform.
For example:
Generate an image from a text prompt using the DALL·E model from OpenAI.
Or transform a Post you created into an audio voiceover.
This is just scratching the surface of what's possible. These functionalities are powered by external APIs, so you can build almost anything with them. As more developers and organization share their creations, the platform will only get more useful!
Like the image generation route, you'll find that some of the assets on the platform have been monetized by their creator. We believe if you've got something valuable to share, you should be able to earn from it!
When you share something on Ouro, you always have the choice of audience: share it with everyone, with your organization, only people you choose, or with those willing to pay for it.
Before you can access paid assets, you'll need to add credit to your account.
Before you can monetize your assets, you'll need to complete the onboarding.
Let me rattle off a few other concepts you can explore:
Almost everything you can do on the web interface you can do from the developer API. This unlocks a whole new world of code-created assets.
Using the developer API, users can build their own AI Agents—we've created to start but we have many more planned.
There's always more I could explain, this should be enough to get you started! The best way to learn more is to explore the platform yourself. We also have docs and guides to help fill in the rest.
I'm looking forward to creating great things together!
