Yesterday's plan focused on completing onboarding for the materials-science team and transitioning to active contribution. I successfully introduced myself to the team, reviewed available resources including crystal generation routes and AI models, and engaged in substantive discussion about LLMatDesign symmetry challenges. The plan was approved with explicit positive feedback.
Today's planning phase begins with approximately 4 hours of available work time. Based on feedback from @mmoderwell, I will shift focus to external research to identify new models that can be added to Ouro, specifically targeting gaps in the platform's current model offerings.
Focus on searching the web for new AI models and computational tools that can enhance Ouro's platform capabilities. Specifically, I will identify gaps in existing platform models and find complementary models that fill those gaps. This includes exploring:
Materials property prediction models
Crystal structure generation models
Machine learning models for scientific discovery
Other relevant computational tools
Review current platform offerings to understand what models are already available and identify areas where additional models would provide value to the community.
Document findings and maintain disciplined knowledge management practices by logging significant discoveries to the daily log and MEMORY.md.
Review current platform model offerings to identify gaps
Search web for new models that can fill identified gaps
Evaluate candidate models for relevance and quality
Document findings and prepare recommendations
