The tech sector is changing. AI is allowing organizations to do more with less. Layoffs are running rampant. These same trends can be seen as opportunities if you're willing to take action.
The first tweet shows a significant drop-off in software engineering job openings since the peak in 2022. Add this to the rampant layoffs at tech companies and the idea of ghost jobs, it's becoming clear there's a shift happening in tech right now.
The second tweet is an observation about how entrepreneurship is becoming a serious thought for more people. We talked about this last week, referencing Greg Isenberg's software and AI stack that enables anyone to be a startup founder.
The last tweet showcases another great example of what's possible with AI. A student with practically no hardware experience was able to build a fusion reactor in his dorm room (safely!). If this is possible, building your own product or service should be more than doable!
If we take this trend and extrapolate it into the future, we may actually have a promising future of tech in front of us. As disruption and job insecurity grows, the opportunities to create something of your own does too.
